Create Dialup Networking Telephone Number Icons

1. Double-click the Windows My Computer icon, and double-click Dial-Up Networking.
2. If this is the first time you have used Dial-Up Networking, a Welcome To Dial-Up Networking Wizard appears. To step through the Wizard, click the Next or Finish buttons, as available, to accept the defaults. When prompted, supply the requested information for the Wizard, i.e., icon name, area code, and phone number.
3. If this is not the first time you have used Dial-Up Networking, no wizard appears. Double-click the Make New Connection icon.
4. In the Make New Connection window (see figure), replace the words "My Connection" with a descriptive phrase, e.g., Coollink ISP
5. Click Next.

 

 

6. Fill in the Area Code and Telephone Number fields with 15720, 5556720 or the telephone number of your third-party Internet Service Provider (see figure), and click Next.

 

 

7. Click Finish.
